Department of Agricultural and Biological Science

The Department of Agricultural Sciences places special emphasis on creating graduates who will be model farmers and entrepreneurs in their respective home districts. The faculty possesses a genuine concern for students as well as a high commitment to their educational achievement. The primary goal is to educate our graduates to successfully become responsible managers who can


  1. Demonstrate professional knowledge in agricultural and/ or environmental research and development
  2. Demonstrate advanced skills in application of agricultural enterprise development and management such as critical thinking, ethical and creative problem-solvers.


The Department offers an excellent course curriculum for the following courses ; undergraduate (Bachelors in Agricultural Science and Entrepreneurship- 4 years, Bachelors of Food Technology and Management- 4 years, Bachelors of Agricultural Extension and Education- 4years, Bachelor of Science Agribusiness- 3 years and Bachelors of science in Aquaculture- 3 years), post graduate degrees (Masters of Science in Agriculture by Research and Masters of Science in Agriculture and Rural Development) research opportunities, internship programs, a wide range of professional and social student organizations and hands-on experiences in living laboratories and field experiences to expand the student's horizons beyond the classroom.

Agriculture and Entrepreneurship












Recent Research in Science and Technology, aims to provide the most complete and reliable source of information on current developments in all areas of General and Applied sciences. The emphasis will be on publishing high-quality articles, in English rapidly and freely available to researchers worldwide.


All articles will be peer-reviewed. Papers will be published online usually with in a month after acceptance.


The objective of Recent Research in Science and Technology is to cover all aspects of General and Applied Science and Technology. Therefore contributions from both biological, physical, chemical and engineering scientists are strongly encouraged. The Research areas include the following sections:


Biotechnology, Microbiology, Biochemistry & Bioinformatics, Botany & Environmental Sciences, Agriculture, Animal Sciences,  Fisheries & Food Science.
